Georgia has been consistently ranked by Area Development magazine and others for being the #1 state in the country for workforce development. This is due, in part, to the proactive involvement of the state through its training and career development programs.
Georgia Quick Start
The Georgia Quick Start program, provided by the Technical College System of Georgia, provides training assistance for companies in need of a skilled workforce. The free program is customizable, and not only will they help their clients develop training programs, but they will also assist in the training itself. Training is conducted in classrooms, mobile labs, or onsite at the company.
Quick Start has updated the skill sets of more than 1 million employees in 6,500 projects.
Quick Start shapes its program specifically for the skills a client is looking to develop in its employees. This is done through working closely with the client in strategic workforce consultation, pre-employment assessments, customized training programs, and leadership and professional development for the client's leadership teams.
